Rep. Peter King Wants to Investigate Why Muslims Don't Cooperate |
Critics charge that King's hearing should not focus just on Islamic extremists but should include other groups that support violent activities. By focusing on just one religion, they say, King is on a witch hunt reminiscent of the McCarthy era.
So, What Would American Jesus Do About Rep. King's Hearings?

Rep. King Questions a Radical Religious Person |
Jesus went through his own version of Rep. King's hearings. Jesus was a radical who pushed traditional Jewish orthodoxy beyond what the conservative religious rabbis of his time were teaching. The Roman government convened a "hearing" before Pilate, part of which involved asking Jewish officials what was wrong with Jesus. Jesus' martyred death eventually led to his gaining more followers than all other religions of the world combined.
It's not a perfect parallel --Jesus did not promote violence, for example -- but why would Rep. King want to focus just on the Islamic community's reaction to violent extremism in their ranks, and not the Christian community's response to violent extremism in their ranks (think abortion clinic attacks and attacks on gays)? I don't think American Jesus would want Rep. King to give radical extremists an opportunity to take up his story as their own. If Rep. King expanded his hearings to include Christian and other religious extremists, he could give them all the attention they crave.
Why doesn’t this Peter T. King investigate the “Home Grown” radicalization of Irish Americans, who support the tradition wing of the IRA (Irish Republican Army), or Noraid (The Irish Northern Aid Committee), and being recruited by “Enemy Overseas” or worse “Enemy Overseas” the “Catholic Church ”, where their priests have rape our young American boys, what about that you hypocrite scumbag.
ReplyDeleteMontana, those radicals didn't kill Americans, just some western europeans, so what's the big deal?
