WWAJD About Passport Parenthood?

Fox News reports that U.S. passports will now seek information about parents that is gender neutral.  Instead of identifying "mother" and "father," the new application asks for the name of "Parent One" and "Parent Two."

No Artificial Wombs Yet
The Family Research Council has protested, in part because "science has yet to create an artificial womb" and "science has yet to master human cloning." The FRC points out that the abolition of fatherhood and motherhood flies in the face of studies showing that "children are most likely to thrive when born into a family led by their own married biological mother and father."

So WWAJD About Passport Parenthood?

Jesus was very clear about the sanctity of marriage "between a man and a woman."  (Matthew 19:1-12).  Of course, he also mentioned "eunuchs who were born that way" (Matthew 19:12), and I'm not sure what that's all about, but American Jesus would not want his Christian government to gather information from passport applicants who only have one biological parent (e.g., second marriage or widowed), or who have no biological parent (adoption), or who has thrived as a person even though not raised in a family led by two biological parents.

All Passport Applicants Should Have
One Happily Married Parent of Each Type.
So the solution, it seems to me, is simply to put a checkbox next to each "Parent" name.  The checkbox would have two options:  "male" or "female."  Actually, because science has figured out how to turn males into females, and vice versa, American Jesus and the FRC would also approve two additional boxes:  "formerly male, but now female" and "formerly female, but now male."  Actually, make that five boxes.
